Shark Tank’s Daymond John Honors Empire Young Entrepreneur Challenge Recipients

Finalists and guests of the inaugural “Long Island Young Entrepreneur Challenge,” hosted by Long Island’s Empire Facilities Management Group, were honored at a reception featuring entrepreneur, author, and marketing consultant Daymond John. A cast member of the ABC reality television show, “Shark Tank,” Mr. John launched his $6 billion FUBU brand when he was 22 years old. Winners included Long Island residents Alex Tsunis, 18, and Richard Dallojacono, 22.

The Long Island Young Entrepreneur Challenge, which was hosted by full service facilities company Empire Facilities Management Group (now FrontStreet Facility Solutions), is an investment in Long Island’s small business community, as well in the budding entrepreneurs who represent the future of the community, says Joseph Scaretta, then CEO of Empire Facilities Management Group, recently rebranded as FrontStreet Facility Solutions. As keynote speaker, Mr. John provided advice to the finalists and attendees following the live pitch competition.
